Multiple People Shot at Howe Park Sacramento - Unsanctioned Gathering Descends into Chaos





Saturday night, a large unauthorized party of several hundred people at Howe Park in the Arden-Arcade section of Sacramento descended into chaos when 20 to 25 gunshots filled the air as law enforcement officers were actively breaking up the gathering.

A Timeline of Events

Just after 6:30 PM, the Sacramento County Sheriff's Department received calls reporting persons reportedly carrying concealed firearms at the park. A follow-up call reported a potential physical confrontation and people leaving the area quickly.

Law enforcement air support was sent to the area and swept the area but could not find any physical confrontation.

Nonetheless, hundreds of individuals had congregated at Howe Park for what deputies referred to as an unauthorized event. Law enforcement personnel set up around the park, turned on their emergency lights, and dedicated around 15 minutes instructing attendees to vacate the area over loudspeakers.
